BLACK HILLS SHOOTIST ASSOCIATION
OCTOBER 16, 2011
Meeting was called to order by President Hawkbill. He thanked all those who helped and participated in the Black Hills Shootist Association LTD 1st annual banquet. We did very well after all the bills were paid. Half of the profits will go to youth organizations. Rich asked if anyone had concerns or suggestions for next year. The committee will start meeting in January for next years’ banquet.
Our annual election of officers will be held at Piedmont on November 12th. Come early and enjoy a great chicken or steak dinner. The meeting will be a 7pm in the back room. Nominations are open until November 4th for anyone wanting to run for office. The secretary position is open as I am resigning for this office. Please send any nominations to me or Rich by Nov. 4th so I can get names on the ballots.
Train robberies are done for this year. We were asked to participate again next year. We do have insurance that covers our reenactments.
It was decided that since we have had to cancel so many shoots this year that we would shoot in November. That date is November 20th.
Diane gave us a treasure’s report.
Rich stated he had a complaint about club communications. He noted that 50% of our shoots have been cancelled so there was nothing to report. He sends out e-mails regarding special events.
A motion was made to adjourn and shoot. Motion was 2nd and approved by majority.

BHSA Minutes 7-24-2011
We had a very informal meeting since the President, vice president and treasurer were all absent. There was a discussion on when to have our clean up day.
The range is looking really shabby. Some did not want to do the Saturday before a shoot as it took up thier whole weekend. Others did not want 2 weekends
with stuff to do. We will let Rich decide.
Mike has a lead on a mower but needs an answere asap. He will try and call Rich.
We had three new members sign up so Big Louie gave a Safety briefing before shooting.
It was a hot day so it was decided to only shoot three stages.
NEW MEMBERS:
Charles Cravens aka Charley Man
Ed Chopping aka Wyoming Sl
Rick Stiles aka Master Grumpy
Mike and Charise Crompton stopped by to watch the shoot. They hope to have thier guns for next months shoot.
